A Program Instruction (PI) is simply a set of instructions issued by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs to an Area Service Access Point (ASAPs). The purpose of the program instruction it to inform the ASAPs how to carry out regulatory and business functions in areas relating to managing the Commonwealth's Adult Protective Services contract. Upon Issuance, a PI becomes a set of directives and or an addendum to ASAPs contractual agreement. This Program Instruction (PI) page provides learning tools that cover the requirements of individual PIs released by EOEA. Please note that not all Program Instructions are listed on this page. It is the responsibility of each individual to review and be familiar with all of the Program Instructions issued by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs. In addition to information covered in these trainings, your agency may have policies and procedures that detail how each PI is implemented.
